Vegan Fashion Week is The World’s Leading Ethical Fashion Movement.
Vegan Fashion Week™ has proven to be a historic event because of its unique message and global impact both in the media and the fashion industry. The concept is outpacing major mainstream fashion movements with superior media impact and farther reach.
Past events took place in Los Angeles in February and October 2019. Last season’s theme, “Fashion is Activism,” explored the challenges surrounding ecological and climate change through the lenses of fashion, ethics, science, technology, legal practices and intersectionality with 5,000+ attendees.
“The relationship between fashion, factory farming, and climate change cannot be ignored. A vegan and sustainable lifestyle is the ultimate answer to climate change and waste pollution. I created an inclusive and collaborative movement dedicated to redesigning the industry and the consumers’ daily habits”— Emmanuelle Rienda, Founder and CEO, Vegan Fashion Week™
After launching the first Vegan Fashion Week™ at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles and developing our Future of Fashion™ conference and Vegan World™ at the California Market Center; we celebrated the work of a diverse collective of vegan creatives changing the industry at the Theater at Ace Hotel. The expansive event showcased specialty vegan cocktails and culinary innovations in collaboration with Miyoko's, an ethical fashion show and vegan awards ceremony hosted by Moby, Mena Suvari and Persia White with live performances by vōx and Kate Nash.
Our theme for 2020 is EXPANSION. This year, in addition to our Los Angeles event, we will create a virtual panel series to keep the conversation alive.
Vegan Fashion Week™ is a creative ode to the end of animal exploitation and a celebration of human evolution.
